Russ Brown - The Perutz Project
When I was a youngster back in the 1960s, my dad was a keen photographer too and shot mainly on transparency film. The type he often used was the Perutz brand, which had a certain beautiful, luminous contrast and colour balance. I have tried here to emulate how I remember the look of those wonderful old pictures using my own recent work. I love the results and think they have a gorgeous quality that transports me back to those happy days of the past. The polar opposite to many of the images in the Monochrome collection - soft, luminous, lower contrast and "false" colour. Click any image to see a full-screen view.
